Loveland, Ohio is celebrating a major milestone in 2026 — its 150th anniversary — and Ready 2 Roll Moving is honored to be part of it. The Big Event: Vintage Base Ball Game

The festivities kick off this weekend with a Vintage Base Ball Game on Saturday, May 16 at Phillips Park. This isn’t your typical ballgame — players suit up in period-correct uniforms and play by the rules of 19th-century baseball, bringing Loveland’s history to life in the most fun way possible.

Game Day Details

The game takes place at Phillips Park (11667 Rich Road), with activities starting at noon and first pitch at 1:00 PM. Parking is at Loveland High School, with a free trolley shuttle running to the park.

Complimentary hot dogs, chips, and water will be available while supplies last. VIP sponsor guests receive reserved seating under the VIP tent, parking passes, and a full catered lunch. Guests are also welcome to bring their own bag chairs for extra comfort.

In honor of National Police Week, the City will recognize both retired and active Loveland police officers with reserved seating and an on-field ceremony during the game.

Keep an eye out for a special flyover by the Wright B Flyer — a historic replica aircraft — between 1:00 and 1:30 PM. Kids and families can also enjoy a Touch-a-Truck experience, getting up close with city vehicles and fire trucks. Commemorative baseballs will be available for purchase as a keepsake from this historic afternoon.

The Party Continues Saturday Night

After the game, downtown Loveland businesses will be hosting decade-themed parties throughout the evening — a neighborhood block party spanning 150 years of American culture, with each venue celebrating a different era of Loveland’s history.

And at 9 PM, head over to Cappy’s for the very first Loveland 150 Bourbon Bottle Raffle Drawing. A specially selected single barrel from New Riff Distilling has been bottled exclusively for Loveland’s sesquicentennial. Tickets are $60 for one or $100 for five, with proceeds supporting anniversary initiatives and community programming. It’s a true collector’s keepsake — and a worthy way to toast 150 years.

Sunday, May 17 — The Celebration Continues at City Hall

The fun doesn’t stop on Saturday. On Sunday, May 17, downtown Loveland hosts a full day of activities from 10 AM to 6 PM on the City Hall lawn:

• 10 AM – 2 PM — Classic Car Show
• 1 PM — Talent show
• 2 PM — Pie bake-off
• All day — Birthday cake, plein air artists, caricature artist, and kids’ activities including games, face painting, and a balloon twister
• All day — History Walking Tour via a dedicated mobile app, taking you through Loveland’s historic landmarks
• 4 PM — Live music from Rooster Ridge

Celebrating All Year Long

The sesquicentennial is bigger than one weekend. Throughout 2026, the City of Loveland has planned a full calendar of special moments:

• Sesquicentennial Flag — an official 150th anniversary flag, designed through a community-wide contest and unveiled at City Council in November 2025, will fly at events and landmarks all year.
• Time Capsule — inspired by a 100-year-old capsule recently uncovered in Loveland, the city is creating a new one to be sealed for future generations, with a planned home at the future Nisbet Park Amphitheatre.
• Mayor’s Gala — September 12 — a formal evening for 240 guests featuring a full orchestra and catering by Tano’s Bistro. Attendance is limited.
• Signature Annual Events — Hearts Afire, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and the Christmas Tree Lighting will all feature special 150th anniversary elements.
• Commemorative Merchandise — official apparel and keepsakes are available now at lovinlifeloveland.com.

A Community Worth Celebrating

Ready 2 Roll Moving was founded right here in Loveland by Brandon Sinclair, who has spent over two decades helping Greater Cincinnati families and businesses move forward. Community involvement has always been at the heart of what we do — from sponsoring Loveland Youth Football to participating in A Kid Again’s holiday events and the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb.
